Anyone have experience with this eBay seller? Sells Emblem and Headlight Overlays
Just wanted to get some of your opinions before I bite the bullet.
I am looking to get some emblem overlays as well as a custom fit headlight overlay. The seller has e90 eyelids and said he can make me some for the e93. Anyone have any photos they can post if they have any experience with the seller? This is the eyelid: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...ht_5998wt_1166 This is the emblem overlay: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...t_11036wt_1166 TIA |

To my understanding, these are usually machine cut but the ones I received have some pretty rough edges. Also when I kind of measure them over the eyelids the seem way too big to simple just cover the orange reflector. So I messaged the seller and essentially got this response: They are machine cut. The rough edges are there to fold to the inside and dont show. When you wet install you can cover the amber fully. He did offer a refund if I shipped them back. I will post up pics shortly. Anyone care to chime in? |

I actually got in touch with a local of who had those exact eyelids your purchased on his vehicle. When I talked to him he said it didn't look clean when I bought it but when I installed, it was seamless. So maybe the seller is right about the edges folding in.

Yea i'm contemplating just returning them and eating up the shipping cost (prob a dollar or two). Plus I think the gloss black might look a little too crazy, like emo with eyeliner. Gonna just order some smoked ones from **********s like i intended in the first place. Anyone have those that they could give their opinions on? |

Just an update, the seller noted that he made another one just to see how the eyelid is cut and got the same rough edge results. He is going to work on the graphic and offered a free replacement. He has really good communication and wants to get it right for us, especially since he is also friends with the guy in NoHo that works on roof vinyl overlays (couple of guys have mentioned it on the forum). With that, although the product I received was crap, I'm happy to report that the seller is working to get it right and is very accommodating. That said, as long as the fixed product is good I wouldn't have any qualms of buying.

Ok just received the updated overlays today. What an improvement! The seller is very responsive with his emails and works to get it right which I can appreciate. Although the first set didn't turn out as planned, the fixed set is just what I expected. For that reason, I give the seller my full confidence and say that no one should have any worries or concerns about buying. Can't beat the price! Check out my updated pics below:
