+1, but they do need to warm up a little to be fully effective.

Thanks I might ask Race Brakes Sydney tomorrow about the Hawks and ebc, checked Bosch they do fronts only and Bendix have rears only so I don't want to mix pads, I can't stand the brake dust on my new wheels.

I had them fitted on the R32 and they do need a bit of warming up before they get any "feel" to them. Have seen some post about the entry level hawks HPS giving more bite and still less dust than the std pads. Should be ok for street pads. Might try those on my wife's 320i next.

I have hawk ceramics and i love them. I had EBC greenstuff pads which have a heap of bite but they squealed and were pretty dusty (not great for every day use). The Hawk ceramics don't squeal & have very little dust.
I think the initial bite when cold is comparable to OEM bite in my experience and they just get better when they are warm IMO the best of both worlds for a street pad. |
