Picking up an E92 this weekend!
Hello all! This weekend I'm traveling 5.5 hours from Cleveland to Chicago to pick up a 2008 Space Grey Metallic 335i coupe, Red/Black interior with every option! 27k miles and a flawless record! I'm moving up from a 2007 Mazdaspeed 3 and I'm really excited to be part of the BMW world!
I've been trollin' this forum for a few weeks now, but if anyone has any good tips or insider information for a BMW newbie, please share! |

Congrats! When your title said "e92" and no other model info i assumed itches a 328. Was gonna ask why you were moving to a slower car from the mazdaspeed!
What did tgat badboy run you? Truly loaded? Lease return? Cpo? |

So I'm picking this car up from Joe Perillo BMW in Chicago and I've head some negative things about this dealership. People have complained about poor service, slow service, lemon-law cars, rude staff, ect...
I have done my due diligence and asked as many questions about the car as possible...it is not a lemon-law car, it IS Certified Pre-Owned, it has had the HPFP recall done even though it never failed (they sent me the vehicle warranty history and it is clean), the woman I've been working with is super nice and responsive to my e-mails and calls and so far I've had a great over-the-phone experience with them. I'll still have a full year of factory warranty left and then my 2 years CPO warranty...so I can't find any downside to this... If there is anything about Joe Perillo BMW I should know about, please let me know...but as of now...I can't wait to pick it up on Saturday! |

Bought from Perillo, premier dealer on the gold coast. Nothing but good things to say about the experience. Good luck with your new ride.

enjoy OP. RWD will be a TREAT coming from that mazda. the greatest part will be letting go of all that FWD understeer, you'll see. and the N54 is a beast of a motor with just a few mods. advice? at LeAST get a tune, but dont post a thread saying 'hey guys what tune should i get!'. ... it makes ppl on here very unhappy lol. enjoy

YES! I did get it, Joe Perillo BMW was a great experience! Beautiful dealership and very helpful staff! The car is immaculate and totally exceeded my expectations (I did a first gear pull tonight and almost had a heart attack)! I'll post up some pics tomorrow.
I have about 1300 to spend from selling old MS3 parts and so far all I've done is ordered the burger tuning intake filters for $115. I'm buying a JB4 off my buddy for $400 and now I'm trying to figure out if I want a Hamann Style CF front lip from **********s.com, does anybody have input on this lip? Also, I'm trying to find a set of wheels...I Might buy my buddies 19" BBS LM's or get a set of Vortex Racing VT996 (TE37 replicas)...If I get the VT996's they have to be gloss white and have hankook ventus v12 evos on them...I PM'd vortex about that, so we'll see. I don't really care about brand names, I just care about function and style. Any other advice, opinions, warnings. ect about my new E92 journey would be greatly appreciated! Traded in my MS3 this weekend and got an E92
Picked up a 2008 BMW 335i Sport Coupe..30k miles, every package and every option available! At the dealership in Chicago... Got it home and debadged the rear right away...also the dealer put a stupid plate frame on it...looking into getting it repaired back to a clean, hole-less bumper. Some interior shots taken by dealer... Joe Perillo BMW really took care of me and made my out-of-state buying experience very stress-free and enjoyable. The dealership is beautiful and the staff is friendly and helpful! The 5.5 hour drive home was a blast, this car never disappoints! It's worth every penny I spent and I'm so happy I got it! I already ordered a set of 19x8.5/19x9.5 TSW Nurburgrings (gun metal) with F(235-35)/R(265/30) Hankook V12's, the burger racing dual cone intake, Hamann cf front lip and a modified clutch delay valve. Next on the menu is JB4 and bov conversion. |

Incredible looking car!
Btw, it doesn't have "every" option - I can tell that it doesn't have active cruise for one Lot of warranty time left too, which is awesome but is going to require a good bit of wrenching for each dealer visit with a JB4 and BOV. Dealers arent wild about those...

A few of my friends had MS3s, minus the FWD they're pretty nice. You'll enjoy the RWD and the cornering of the N54.
