Clutch Masters is working on a stage 1 thru stage 5 clutch upgrades, they also will have a lightened flywheel. I'll keep you posted. I figured most people wouldn't be ready for clutches for a few more months.

have you guys tried the cdv delete first? This supposedly helps smooth out shifts. I also highly recommend a short shift knob...I have the OEM short knob and it has made a difference.

I believe UUC performance has a clutch for the 335. I talked to them about a month and a half ago and they said at the time it would be ready in a few weeks. Give them a call. They have good prices too.

Changed out my CDV the other day and while at first I didnt like it, I was able to shift better naturally after some driving. It really makes a big difference for such a cheap mod. It shifts with authority now.

The combination of the Rogue Engineering Octane Short Shift Kit, the cdv delete, and the M-sports knob provides a much smoother shifting experience. Totally worth the $350 investment. Of course this doesn't address folks who want a stiffer clutch or who wish to install a BBK, but if you're finding it hard to shift smoothly, this is a good solution.

Trust me, e90 clutch is totally fine. I used to have a perfromance clutch on my old car -- my left foot and calf are still sore.

We'll be offering solid-hub versions for use with the OE dual mass flywheel in a variety of facings, from performance street up through hardcore drag racing. Our similar clutches for E46/E39/E36 handle beyond 650lb-ft. We will also be offering a lightened solid flywheel with sprung-hub clutch with the same facings. Our line of clutches are the "tuner's choice" for racing and forced induction, we also private-label our clutches and flywheels for some of the bigger European tuners. FYI... the reason E90/E92 clutches aren't out yet is the difficulty in manufacturing. BMW introduced an entirely new style of transmission/flywheel interaction with these cars, requirign us to manufacture special components. It's expensive, but we figure as soon as some of you guys start hitting the 500-600hp mark, you'll need an upgrade! |
