Took a trip to Active Autowerke yesterday.
I went there to inquire about their Xede unit. I must say I was quite impressed. Very good service and their were some really nice cars there. I was extremely impressed by a red E46 M3 they were working on. I don't want to give away any details about it.........all I can say is WOW !!! That thing is wicked!.
Anyways, I got their Xede installed and i'm quite impressed by the difference it made. The Butt dyno feels pretty good. I was alittle disappointed when I took the car home yesterday because It didn't feel much different but when I drove the car today.....I had nothing but smiles:rocks: It just feels faster today, I don't know why. I wanted to get "Before and after" dyno runs at Active but they were unable to do it because they had some other things going on. I was hoping to get some dyno runs today but the only shop that I know near me with a dyno was closed. I will try again next week. Active also installed a valet switch that sets everything back to stock so I can still get a "stock" dyno by flipping the switch to see what kind of gains I got. Overall, a great experience. |

It was 1080 for Xede plus 150 for the Valet switch installed in the glove box. It took like 2 hours but they had multiple projects going on at once so it was kinda back and forth to and from my car. I was so anxious to drive the car that I didn't ask how to remove it. I will stop by there when I am down there again next week and ask about it. He did however tell me that there is no need to remove it when taking the vehicle in for service. Just flip the valet switch and they wont know its there unless they open the ecu compartment which is rarely ever done.
