Wheel Hop
I have only had the car for a few thousand miles now and did a couple "spirited" takeoffs today.
I experienced wheel hop for the first time in the car. Is this normal for the 335i with the manual trans? Is it dependant on surfaces, temperature outside or something else? It wasn't bad, but you could tell it was going on back there. I'm curious if there's a bad bushing or something else I need to have looked at. |

I get it too, but I rarely am spinning tires except in the wet. I am hoping that an LSD will partly cure the problem.

Rear independent suspension systems are more prone to wheel hopping than live axle setups. If one was drag racing they can lower tire pressure or get a softer rear suspension.

When your rear wheels tend to hop or skip from a launch. You can feel it also as if your whole car is going through an earthquake or shuddering.
