Procede installation question?

Question about this:

# Locate the rear-most boost control solenoid. Two vacuum lines are connected to it.
# Pull the vacuum lines up gently (pull straight up) to release them from the clip that holds them. Do not yank them quickly or pull them up at an angle or else the nipples on the boost control solenoid can break. If they prove to be hard to remove use your screwdriver to gently pry the rubber line from the vacuum solenoid.
# With the supplied coupler, join the two (2) vacuum lines together.

After you remove the vacuum lines and join them, what do you do w/ the 2 now exposed boost controller nipples? (please no smartass reponses! ) Do we leave them exposed or what? Seems like they should be capped off somehow but with what? What happens if you don't cap it off though?

Thanks!

Close them by using a tape. I hope Vishnu will provide 2 cap's in the future.

Cheers

Won't tape melt? I think someone said that on the Vishnu forum but not sure. And I think someone else said they bought an extra piece of rubber tubing to cover it (on Vishnu forums).

Did a quick test. The electric tape I use ( nothing special ) withstands 300 degrees fahrenheit. No probs. To be on the very safe side, you could use a silicone hose.

hi. I'm in a car right now with dustin on the way to the long beach gp. just leave the solenoid open. although I suppose there is nothing wrong with putting rubber caps on both nipples. ill see if I can get some before the next batch goes out this week. again, its totally optional but probably a good idea if u plan to rally the car

Could you repeat this in metric, please ?

2" = 50mm, 5/32" = 4mm, 1/4" = 6.4mm

Cheers
Eugen

hey Shiv, couple of questions for you:
1. let's say I had a BMW service appt. and "termporarily" reconnected the vacuum lines back into their original locations so that everything looks stock...would this cause any problems if the tech decided to take the car for a test drive or something? would like to avoid any CEL's or other issues....

2. I can't wait until your software has a "stock" setting. my wife drove my car yesterday for the first time after the install (she didn't know what i did) and when she returned from her errand...she was like: WTF! your car behaves like a race car! (keep in mind though that she tends to have a lead foot).

3. I have v1.4 so I don't know what the previous versions felt like, but I can tell you that this version absolutely rocks! :rocks: btw, when will you have downpipe available? I'd like to install this and keep the rest of the exhuast stock...I love the sleeper look.

Keep up the great work, Shiv.
