Front windshield tint?

Has anyone done it, and how dark? I'm not sure if I want to do it for visability and legal reasons...but just thought i would ask if any of you have done it.

I think if i did decide to, I'd go no darker than 50%

Worst idea ever. Its illegal and you'll likely get snagged for it. Had a buddy who tried it and ended up peeling it off after a ticket. His windshield is a mess now.

Yeah, even if you did tint the windshield, 50% would be blinding.

Get some sunglasses and drive with them all day long and at night for a week. Remember that you cannot take them off - even when you're stopped by the cops.

Remember to wear them when it is raining, no moon and all that.

Don't do it bro. Very dangerous at night time. I like tints, but due to the dangers of it I don't think I'll ever get them again.

I did it, dealt with it for 2 months, then paid to get it removed. At night it severely fucked up my ability to see clearly, and I finally stopped kidding myself that it was worth the cool fly ass ghetto effect from the outside it projected like a car commercial.

If you're just looking to keep out heat you should check out Llumar Air Blue. Its like having no tint on the front but it keeps out 40% of heat.

yeah it is crazy dark.

I've been in it at night, if an asshole was driving without headlights and you tried to merge you wouldnt be able to see him.

This is of course with the windows up.

I'll look into that, is it much more than regular tint?

There is legal anti UV tint you can get, which I think is a great idea.. but the tint shop I went to told me the liquid from them applying the tint would leak down into the dash if I did it.. and apparently they're too stupid to cover it up, so I passed on that one.

I currently have 35% on the whole windshield and 20% everywhere else. Helps tremendously with glare from sun and oncoming headlights. It hasn't affected driving at night.

I was thinking about that, you could just cut the tint around the sticker and have that same spot every year..hopefulyl they dont change the size of the sticker!

I've got ~60% hyper optics on the front. 35% on the sides and rear. It keeps out the heat and you can't tell the windshield is tinted. Almost 2 years without a problem or anybody ever realizing it was tinted.
