Greddy BOV installed, can I remove the diverters now?
Came home to a nice little package from JP in Atlanta. Everyone remember the silver 335i in the video months back? Yeah, that guys BOV.
It looks and sounds great, but the diverter hose runs RIGHT in front of it. Yes BOV's are useless, but it does serve as nice eye and ear candy. So, my question is, can I remove the diverter hose. In other words can I cap the outlet and remove the corrugated hose? They arent really doing anything since the BOV is doing all the work now. The diverters are plugged into each other regardless at this point. Thanks for the input. Scott |

you should remove that hose when using a bov... Check AA install guide.

Yes, sure is.
AA removes the diverters completely with their kit. Their hose runs all the way back to the throttle body. Mine just replaces one hose and leaves the diverters in tact. Right now, the two are piped to each other not doing a damn thing. Isnt the air going out of the BOV before it even gets to the diverters regardless? In other words, capping the one side and then just leaving the diverters in there shouldnt hurt a thing |

Let me get you a clip tomorrow ok ?
DIY isnt really necessary. Its simple as pie. Remove the stock hose, put in the BOV that has new hoses in its place. Next disconnect the vacuum lines running to the diverters. Plug the diverters INTO each other. Then, disconnect the stock vacuum line off the throttle body and plug the new BOV/s vacuum line into the throttle body. |

i took them out...well my BOV piping doesn't require anything besides putting on the BOV and the intake temp sensor...
u might have a different set up...are they using the stock intercooler piping and just stuck a universal pipe on their with greddy type flange welded on?

I think that member jp335i had a GReddy RS in his car untill recently and he posted some of the 1st videos of a BOV in a 335. Edit: found his video post. It sounds a lot like the AA and TiAL-based kit. Very much the whip-type sound.

It was the Greddy RS and it sounded good. the AA is a little louder but they are both similar in sound. I've posted the Greddy Video as well as and AA one.
