Lowering my M3
Hey guys,
Just wanted to get some advice on lowering my m3. First I havea gift card to oakville motorwerks and want to use it on lowering the car. I have heard Koni coilovers are really good but they are to expensive for me right now. I saw on their website that they offer 3 different types of springs H&R, RD and Tein tech. I am not to concerned with ride quality so I was thinking just add some springs and lower the car between 1.25 and 1.5 in the front and 1 to .5 what do you guys think? I will later add coilovers. |

do Coilovers... KW, H&R, Bilstine, etc. Just make sure they are stainless. As for ride quality, the KW's I had on my car were nice. The ride was more firm and rough at times, all coilovers will do this. Your car will be sick with a set!

Lowering springs will shorten the life of the struts. If you don't care about that and the ride quality, lowering springs will make your car look
If your gift card is more than what you're buying, I'd be willing to give you money for a set of lowering springs too. Let me know. |

Also what would be a good height to lower them? 1.5" in the front or 1.25" I have 19s and I dont want them to rub, I just want the car a little lower.

I have H&R springs on stock shocks. It really doesn't bother me at all. If you are going to get coil-overs eventually, might as well wait and do it one time instead of having to change it out later. Mine is lowered 2" and the top of the tire sits right on the bottom of the fender with 19's and no rubbing issues.

Haha I try! I have a fast metabolism! Ground Control does a conversion kit, so if I want to get coilovers I will just have to buy them and install them. But I might just do the springs to save money and maybe in the future get coilovers. What do you guy things?
