Parking in San Fran?

BLOWS! but thats besides the point. So my sister recently moved to SF and is looking for a place to park her 1series. Some of the places shes looked at are simply outrageous. So does anyone know a garage or anywhere to park a car near Chestnut and Laguna?

Thanks in advance guys!

Try parking around Greenwich Street, 2blocks away from Chestnut, or move out of that area and live near the Richmond District and or Sunset.

I have 1 sister that just moved into a new SF high rise with her husband, the place cost a milllion bucks and only has 1 parking spot!!! I see hella nice cars in there like Audi R8's, etc , but such a pain to find parking to visit her. Place has no guest spots and they pay an extra $300 a month for a second spot!!

Just feeling your pain!

on chestnut there should be a lot of parking during the day by the Moscone park. It is only 2 hour residential parking, but I'm sure she can register for a permit at the DMV to park all day. Most places have street cleaning, so you gotta watch out for that too (usually once a week). There should also be parking on Lombard, but be careful, cars on that street are fast as shit and very difficult to park. Pm me if you need more info or have questions

Check out Craig's List. There's a parking for rent in the Residental Rental section, by neighborhood. Prepare to pay $200-300/month, WHEN you find a spot for rent.

As someone else mentioned, it's 2hr parking in the Marina, unless you get the neighborhood parking sticker, which just went up to $100/yr. On the plus side, she'll literally have dozens of good bars and restos w/in walking distance. Good times.

Yeah ive been trollin around craigs list.. but some are so outlandish.. one requires a $175 deposit that has to be renewed each month and they want a whole mess of personal info.. A little bit much for a parking spot..

I'd say move out of the Marina and find a place in the Richmond District or Sunset area. Lots of parking there + garage parking is available. I live in Daly City, which is 10-15minutes going to downtown and its near public transit (BART).
