Glad to hear no one got hurt, but you should know your limit...especially with a passenger in the car and not try to impress her by driving fast.

50mph? Was this a 90 degree turn like at an intersection or something?

I can take those ramps that post their speed limit at 15mph going 55-60

This car handles pretty well

Glad you guys are okay, now is a good time to upgrade that suspension...and maybe a new bodykit?

no no. I was saying the car can not be considered a total loss because, the damages are not more than the valueof teh car which i approximate to be ~~40,000

damage doesn't have to be over the car's value ($40k you state) to total it out. They own the car when they total it out, so they can sell it for parts, or whatever, and they therefore will choose the option that costs them less net net. But given the damage you describe, you are probably right, it doesn't sound like they will total it out. and fortunately for you, sounds like no frame damage, engine compartment damage, and no need to do structural work.

glad you are ok. Be careful, even BMW's have cornering limits, as you are now painfully aware of....

In the real life world, it's only metal. But....50mph? That's just into second gear.
