OK, thoughts..... Suspension e90 335i
Ok.
I had H+R sport springs on my e46. Love the ride. I got them on my e90 now and not really Loving the ride. Ride height is just a BIT too low for my liking. The wheels are tucked a bit. I like the outside of fender to be right at the top of the tire or there abouts. It's also a bit stiff for what I want. I want a tad lower than ZSP suspension. I want a slightly stiffer ride, so the car 'planes' more in turns and doesn't lean as much. Something that rides great on the street and better than ZSP suspension for the 3-4 track days I do a year in the car, as I mainly Kart now. I don't want to break the bank, but want good facts and opinions from others with e90's and suspension/track experience. Thanks all..... Enlighten me. kj |

Wanna buy my H+R sports ??
Do the Eiback PRO kit springs lower a bit less than H+Rs ? I know the PRO Kit with Koni FSDs are a nice set up, from what I've read. Anyone have this ? post pics and review ? kj |

Yes, less lowering than H&R, especially in the rear and thats why I didnt like it as much as H&R.
There is a sticky at the top of this sub-forum that has a bunch of information you'd find helfpful. Oblu has Eibach/FSD he's been very helpful to me.

The Eibach + FSD ride height is 0.4 lower in the rear and 0.6" in the front. The spring is 15-20% stiffer overall and mildly progressive when compared to H&R. The Eibach has a largrer drop in the front just for apprearances which is not ideal for handling (Dinan stage1 spring rasied the front for comparision). I also did not want to drop the ride height so I designed my own camber plate (ball + isolator) that has ride height adjustability built in and I did something simple for the rear so I can run 0.12” lower than stock setup for both front and rear with the Eibach + FSD system. The car certainly needs stiffer sway bar but not by much. The Eibach one for the E90 will work fine and the about to go one the web site for the 335i. I hate roll at higher speeds so it a good time to it when you do your diff. The only other suspension that will give you stock ride height is the KW Variant3 part number 35220048 (not 35220047) which uses a new front shock body so you can keep the stock ride height at max height. So, the front only drops another .6 in the front ? versus ZSP.
The H+Rs drop way more than that......too much for me. Tucked..... 15-20% stiffer than stock ZSP right ? Eibach will have 335i sways soon ? kj |

On my car, the Eibach doesn't drop nearly as much in front as what the H&R sport looks like in pictures.
From reading what you want (the perfect world) I don't think you're going to find it in anything less than a full coilover setup with compression and rebound adjustment. The fsd/eibach combo's pretty soft, but like any aftermarket suspension it can get caught out in certain situations. For me it was bang-for-buck and I needed something liveable as a daily driver ... that and I wanted to try out the new FSD tech. Next car, I'll probably go back to full coils though. |

As far as I know, most if not all CO's drop a minimum of 1.2" in the front.
That's at it's highest ride height. The Eibachs drop only 1", so the front drop a little less I don't want either wheel Tucked in anyway. I want One Finger or less, but not have the fender below the wheel. Stuff I read about this Eibach/FSD kit seemed that it was better than stock set up, but not as good as CO's, but seemed to be just what I wanted for around $800. Can I acheive my ride height/feel needs with a set of KW V2s ? Anyone ? kj |
