Everything's just speculation at this point.

it is going to base under the X6M price... I would be willing to bet on that...

I've read that the 2012 Mercedes E63 AMG with their new 5.5 biturbo engine will base at $87,600. That makes me think that the 2012 M5 would be no more than 2-3k higher, if that. Also, I thought I read that the 2012 CLS63 AMG, also with the new 5.5 biturbo, would be about $94-$95k base, which I would assume would be a least a few thousand higher than the maximum base price for the M5 - I cannot imagine BMW would think the M5 could compete for that much more than the E63, or at the same price as the CLS63...
Granted, all speculation at this point, but the M5 base price has always been very close to the E63, and always less than the CLS 63... |
