im pretty sure its in the manual. went something along the lines of pushing (or pulling) toward one side of the side-marker, i cant remember which side it is exactly. this should pop the cover out and allow u to change the bulbs. you are talking about the clear looking triangular things on the side of the car and not the orange blinker in the headlight assembly correct? cause the latter you cannot remove.

omg. bro, read the freaking manual already.
in the back of the owner's manual, there is reference section.
go to "B" and look for the word "bulbs" or something.

Replacing them is easy. thats if you can find the correct bulbs anywhere.
it seems the bulbs bmw use is quite different than typical aftermarket
ones out there right now.

Check out p.189 of the manual - http://www.e90post.com/goodiesforyou/e90_manual.pdf

Looks like the sidemarkers use a 5 watt bulb - (WY 5 W or WY 5 W-ST)

The twist part was what got me. Its differnt on the E60. theres not little white tab thats blocking the twisting. on the E60 its just round and turns really freely
