need some help please

My car is showing the check engine light and I do not hear the turbos spooling up. I had my IC installed about two weeks ago which gave me some problems. About a week of driving, the IC pipe popped off. I got that taken care of and put in a longer tube so there is no more boost leak. I was wondering if anybody had any ideas. The only mods I have are a dci, ic, and jb4.

Are you getting any power at all when you WOT? If not it sounds like you have a boost leak some where.

It did not feel as sluggish when I had the whole IC pipe just dangling there. But I could not hear anything from under the hood while I was driving. Does the heat affect the car? I noticed it was very hot and I was giving it any gas.

I just tried driving it around about 20 minutes after it went into limp mode and I did hear the intakes and all. I didnt't get the chance to WOT though. I work in old town Alexandria and there are stop signs every 100ft...

Normal oil temps for the 335i are going to be in the 240 degree area. The IC should possibly decrease the temps by 10 degrees. Have you tried to re auto tune the JB to your bolt ons? Also you should try a WOT and see if it pulls like it should. If does you probably are fine. Do you have a boost guage to see if your getting any boost?

Hm.. I thought IC does not have any effect on the oil temps. Only IAT? But my oil temps were at around 200-220 when it happened. As for the JB, that was the last thing I installed in my car so I dont think it will make any difference. I have the boost show on my fuel and I did see it go up around 14psi when I tried to WOT but the car did not respond. I will give it another try when I get off work and see what happens.

Did you check all connections to the intercooler? Definitely sounds like a boost leak. I ran into the same thing when I installed my chargepipe and found one of the clamps was not tight enough.

I did a couple WOT runs last night on the way home and my car drove perfectly fine. I did check all the connections and nothing was loose. Hopefully no more problems. I want to mod my car more but this is making me think twice...
