limp mode

hit limp mode at 130 at around 5500 rpms on map 5 of jb4, first time i really got on it since i switched to map 5, usually run 2 it only took 45 seconds and went off, will the fuel(foul) pump act like this? i am on my third one and usually would stay on until the car was off and restarted, what other things cause half engine/limp mode

You need to check the codes .
