no respect for an amazing BMW
these videos literally make me angry! i've lost all respect for those people in vancouver who participated in these riots (not that i had any in the first place)....they're all cheering as they destroy someones car?!? how is that a good thing....your team lost and your destripying you own city?!?! Doesn't make any sense to me!

Why would people think it's fun to destroy an innocent persons car? They had nothing to do with anything that was going on, just happened to be parked in the wrong place at the wrong time. I can't believe so many people would just stand there and watch the few morons that thought it was cool destroy the car. The mass of the crowd could easy overpower them, but I guess people are too scared to stand up for someone. People that don't have nice things don't have any respect for other peoples nice things....nice cars suffer scratches, dings, and dents every day by people with no respect. |

There were a few people trying to stand up and stop the rioting, but they didnt accomplish much. I wasnt around Vancouver, but watched more than enough youtube videos. I also heard there was a group of people that came from Seattle specifically to riot. There was a majority of locals though, just being morons.

OMG! That's just terrible... even that people would do that to defenseless women.

yea these people are completely idiots....those girls did pretty well IMO and threw some solid shots at a couple of those guys
there were definitely a few ppl who tried to stand up and stop the rioters (and i have great respect for those people) however i watched one video of a guy trying to stop ppl from burning a pickup truck and eventually he got pushed to the ground and people started kicking the $hit outta him!!! there were just too many people being idiots and not real fans

Interesting, I thought BMWFS leases included gap insurance? Assuming she was leasing through BMWFS.
Gap insurance covers the difference between market value and amount owned on the lease. |

While it sucks that it had to happen that way it would've been the same scenario had she gotten into an accident with the car and written it off period.
It would suck if she had no idea about Gap insurance and the BMW sales rep simply forgot to mention it during her purchase. |

Maybe cause I'm drunk posting, but as bad as this whole situation is
1) you parked in an exposed area on a game 7 - you gotta know better on the best of days 2) you paid a lower deductable for insurance which didn't cover the additional gap premium 3) you had to take off work due to stress over this? every day someone's car is totaled in a no fault accident and they are severely injured, then deal with the exact same situation as parents, providers, single income family etc. It sucks, no doubt, but you lose sympathy at the need to take time off work. Must have a really nice employer. I hope someone steps up and pays the difference, but given how people don't cover tornado, flood insurance that leave families homeless, I doubt you'll have any luck. It would be a nice gesture from a local dealer to build goodwill. |

I think if you lease/finance an expensive car, its always good to have full coverage. You'll never know when you'll need it esp for a $100k I don't think few hundred dollars per year will make a difference.
