Yeah, N2O is not for everyone but if you are careful, build in a lot of failsafes and are willing to take reasonable risks, it is worth it.
Hotrod runs a simple DIY kit, as do I. FBIS runs an all out professional kit (Nitrous Express I believe). The key is to have it tightly integrated with your tune so that you control precisely when it is on and failsafes for it to turn off when it needs to. There are probably a dozen or so of us who use it with success. Few interesting threads: 510WHP 132MPH Last edited by SlowerThanU; 06-20-2011 at 06:36 PM.. |

I still haven't run the nitrous system yet! Still waiting for Procede to integrate it, but I plan on running 15 psi the most...I might just do a fast and furious setup and run a really small jet of .09 just for kicks and see how it works...Basically a WOT switch with a button...Been waiting for over year and half for Procede and still nothing

Watch out with nitrous, Brian O'Connor tried it and it didn't work out so well for him, I believe Dom told him him that it had something to do with the way he drove...

I have a zex kit that I would sell. I see most people here only run about a 30 shot. Nitrous is fun and addicting. On my last car I would spray a 150 shot with this kit out of the hole on top of 15psi. Nitrous paired with some slicks at the track makes for a crazy ride!

I heard he fried the block and then the professor had to tear it down. Sucks.

cn555ic... as long as you have laptop beside you that will pop the warning message about danger to manifold before something goes wrong you're in the clear.
Don't forget the red buttongs on the steering wheel with the N2O tags |

All joking aside, nitrous is a great way to add power, especially with our tiny turbos and limited turbo upgrade options. It is no more dangerous than running high boost as long as you have the appropriate failsafes. Probably only makes economical sense to use at the track though due to cost of refill and you can get more power than you need for the street on boost alone.
