Should I tune a used car

My car has been running stock boost for its lifetime its an 07 with 40k miles.
Do you guys think its kind of getring a bit old to tune it now? The car is well maintained, but its still on the stock plugs so I might have to seap those out.
Would you guys tune a 4 year old car with 40k? Or do you think Im better off leaving it stock?

Im asking this to people with 40k+ milleage, have you guys had problems especially with carbon deposits, my car is a daily driver.
Thanks

To get the best performance outta of the engine..u will need to do a manual clean of the intake valves at say the 50K mark..

as long as you have well maintained the car..(oil, sparkplugs, filters etc)..then go for a tune

A stock 335 is very weak compared to a tuned one and quite weak by any standard as I see it. It should be a law that the car must be tuned A good tune makes the car MUCH nicer to use.

I find no reason that you shouldn't use a tune. 40K are not much for such a car...GO FOR IT. It will actually enchance your experience

I would hardly characterize a stock 335i as weak but def no comparision to a tuned one

tune the shit out of it man. 40k isnt that many miles honestly. ya you'll work your turbos harder, but its worth it. and if you need new turbos in 3 years instead of 4 years just making an example... whats the diff.. worth it.

I got my first tune at around that mileage. You should definitely do it - 40k is nothing.

You'll have to deal with carbon deposits either way. A tune really wakes up the N54.

HELL yes - ANY time is a great time to tune it unless it's having issues. 40K is barely broken in.

My tune is out for service at the dealership and it feels like somebody threw an anchor or two out of the passenger side window. The car is SO much faster and more fun with the tune. The only thing youll regret is taking it out for dealer visits during the remainder of your warranty (if you have one still)

Agreed. I got the N55 JB stage 1 tune installed literally a week ago, and have put 150 miles since. Those 150 miles were pure driving bliss. Had to take it out yesterday because I have to go to the dealer tomorrow, and right now, my car feels like shit. Once you tune, you can never go back. That's how addicting it is.
