Replacing main cats with resonators >

What are the hp/trq increase -if any advantage at all- replacing the main kittys with resonators?

Are you talking about the downpipes or secondary cats?

Just replacing the secondary cats isn't going to do much, it'll change your sound, but power wise its not gonna change a whole lot. But, there's no real downside to doing it.

A downside would be the smell that seems to drive some people mad. I hardly ever notice, but some folks can't stand it.

I would leave the secondaries in, there's really no benefit to hacking up your stock pipes. If your looking for more sound get some catless midpipes and/or put catless DP's on if your running stockers.

Catless DP's really improve the engine responsiveness and overall performance.

I would go with dp first than the midpipe if you are looking for 15 hp.

Useless mod unless for sound. Power wise you won't feel a thing

I already have the kittyless DP and the Bastuck exhaust. I was looking for a deeper tone with less rasp @ higher RPM's. Don't get me wrong, it sounds horny up till 5K RPM but after that is gets higher pitched which I want to get rid of. That's why I was thinking of ditching the mid cat and adding the resonators. Thoughts?

Resonators gets rid of all the annoying rasp you speak of. I have experience with this and they do work
