p142e error

I have read around and found different things on what this code means...is it the HPFP? My car is driving just fine but still threw the code. If my HPFP is failing and im passed the factory warranty will they still replace it for free?

Take it to the dealer. The fuel pump should be under warranty.

BMW extending the emissions warranty for the high-pressure fuel pump to 10 years/120,000 miles.
