Wing mirror covers
Does anyone know a source for painted wing mirror covers (for one of the older, sleeker 05-08 designs)? I can find them unpainted for £20 odd and painted white for about half that - will a bodyshop paint such a small item for sensible money?
I had a coming together with an HGV who decided to enter a narrow bridge I was already half way through and there was not room for the two of us. Luckily the motor etc seems fine - the cover broke in two (I picked it up and it is on the car, albeit looking crap) and the glass went god knows where but I found another genuine BMW heated/Ti coated glass on fleabay for £25 and it fitted fine. Lucky, I suppose, £ signs were flashing before my eyes as it happened but from searching on here it looks like the whole unit is unusually reasonable for a modern car even if you need the whole lot. Unless it's an M3... |

for something that small it's easy to do with an aerosol paint can.
