Help with CEL
Yesterday I went grocery shopping and when I started the car, my P3 gauge showed me I had a stored fault code. There was no engine light on the dash, so I drove off and decided to check it out after I came back from shopping.
I hooked up my BT and this is what was stored: 2A17: 2A17 DMTL diagnosis module tank leakage, system failure Error will cause a warning light Error is currently present Test conditions have been completed Timeout I've never seen this error before on my car. Is this possibly due to the gas cap not being tight enough? I always make sure it clicks 3 times when I put fuel in my car so I am bit concerned that it could be something else. Thanks for your time in advance.

Nobody freaking searches? Jesus, just plug the code into Google and the first thing that pops up is a post here on e90post.com stating that code is indicitive of your low pressure pump going out:

1. Bad low pressure fuel pump 2. Possibly a problem with the fuel filler neck.

Hmm. That seems to be possibility number 3. I guess I'll monitor and see if comes back. If it does, I am taking it to the dealer as my warranty will be running out soon.
