M3 Cluster/Gauge
I finally got around to install the M3 Cluster on E90 335i. However, it only works 70% of it. Things that needs to be fixed...
1. Throws few random codes upon start up but goes away in a sec. - No big deal since codes/warning lights goes away immediately 2. RPM displays about 200RPM less than usual. - No big deal 3. Does not display which gear I am in. - This bothers me a lot for some reason Other than that everything works perfectly fine. Even with those faults above, it's so worth it! I love how M3 cluster looks at night when its lit. |

You need to code it into your car (may have to desolder a piece and replace it with blank memory chip to read your vin, if you bought this cluster used).
Take a look at where it shows your total mileage, do you see an asterik (something similar) to the right side of it? Do you recall seeing that on your OEM cluster? Not 100% on this, but I believe that dot comes up when the car thinks there is some tampering going on with the mileage. It might be detecting 2 different mileages (one from your car and the stored mileage on the cluster from the previous car). But that cluster does look sweet indeed. |
