Got my first year anniversay gift
I have had the lease on my 535i for a year now. Just like on my 335i lease, BMW just sent me a copy of a hand-drawn design sketch of the car. They put it in a nice white presentation folder. Pretty nice. Thx BMWNA!
Be on the lookout for yours when you first anniversary rolls over. |

Yeah , the registration was $784. Does everyone in the country get gouged like this or just us in CA?

Hey guys, think yourselves lucky
I just priced two similarly specified 550i's - one in the US and the other over here in the UK. You pay $69,600, we pay £64,200 ($105,200) |

I lease. I got the drawing of my 335i on its first anniversary. It was totaled before the second one. I don't recall if I got anything for the first year in the M3, but I got the carbon fiber pen for the second year. (And it wasn't exactly at the anniversary, LACSTER. Might still be coming.)

State government... you know.. car registration. In California, part of the bill is a fee based on something like 1% of the car's market value. Or whatever the state of California decides what the value is. Then you get the sticker you can put on your license plate.

for those in california, you can calculate your registration renewal fee here:
http://dmv.ca.gov/FeeCalculatorWeb/index.jsp you'll need your plate #, last 5 of VIN, and zip on the address it's registered.

Wow, that's bad. We pay $74 a year in Ontario for our sticker. And I thought that was gouging.
