Recommendation needed for new tire
Thanks in advance
I need to replace my tire soon and need your input please. I am leaning towards sticking with run flat. I have a 335xi with 17" wheels. I understand most members prefer a non run flat but if you were to choose a run flat. What would be your choice? Cheers! |

Dont know much about which RFTs r good..they gave me an awful ride so i switched and never looked back
Rgular tires u can consider Hankook Ventus v12, or the Falken FK452s.. if u wanna go $, brand name route Michelin ps2 Hankook being best IMO |

I had the same dilemma and this forum helped me get non-RFT and I'm very happy with them. Get yourself Michelin Pilot Sport A/S Plus 225 / 45 R17 . These r high performance-all season (A/S) |

I've driven with these tires through the worst snow blizzard of 2010 from Chicago to Denver and back. No issues whatsoever! They are very quiet and so far they've held up pretty good in Chicago potholes. Obviously, any all season tire will be a compromise that you'll have to deal with. For an example, these tires are pretty much useless in AutoX events, so don't even think you can run them on the track...

If you decide on a non RFT, then (from personal experience) I'd recommend the Continental Extreme DWS.
If you decide to stick with RFTs, then Tire rack only lists 4 A/S in a 225/45/R17 size. The most promising would seem to be the new Bridgestone RE 960 AS RFT. http://www.tirerack.com/tires/TireSe...ting=S&tab=All Hopefully Gary can recommend one. Tom |

Re960 A/S RFT for runflat. For non run flat, I like the Michelin Sport A/S Plus, Yokohama Avid Envigor, and Conti DWS. Tires http://www.tirerack.com/a.jsp?a=AH8&...ires/index.jsp
