Peeling interior trim
As the title says,
i have many parts peeling in my E92, parts that are painted with a special paint like vinyl, e.g steering wheel trim (that is fixed by removing the entire trim paint). The other parts are both the cup holders trim in the dashboard, the rear console cover, http://bmwfans.info/parts/catalog/51166963913/ , and the window lifter switch, on bothe sides, but mainly on the drivers side.. Thats bad, to pay all this money to get this @#$* Are there any solutions to this? I tried painting the rear console cover with a vinyl paint, but it peeled again |

Are you still under manuf warranty?
I had my steering wheel trim (which also had the same peeling paint issue that you're having) replaced under warranty.

Ditto, I had the same issue with the peeling on the steering wheel trim, once replace under warranty I changed my habits to make sure I didn't hold the wheel on the bottom spoke - sad I know!

The steering wheel trim is a fault and replaced under warranty I also had it replaced about a year ago!

my centre console is also peeling on the edge where my elbow or arm rub against it sometimes. The window switch surround is also striated and marked now. Was a common issue with my VWs before, but not expecting it on my E90 at only 73K miles.

never expected that from a BMW. Besides all my previous cars were Japanese MX5, Honda Civic, MR2 Roadster etc, and never had a single issue with them.. |

mine is a couple of months out of warranty and despite the usual know-it-alls on here saying you should only carbon wrap by a professional................
i did my steering wheel a few days ago.................... dead easy for anyone with half a brain and looks great! a heat gun is your best friend.......... makes the wrap stretch and fit any contour Max
