cobb install with windows down

Is it OK to perform an install while the windows are down? I have two kids (2 and 4 years old) that I have to keep an eye on. I absolutely can not have my ass sitting in the car for twenty minutes while they are left alone. I wanted to turn on car, shut the door and perform the flash while outside so I am not trapped.

I installed it with the door open and just left it and came back. Worked for me.

According to the guys at Cobb while watching them flash a few vehicles local to me, they say to leave the doors closed during the process. The car will act funny sometimes when they're open. Better to be safe, than sorry.

Just connect the AP, rolll the windows down, get out the car, shut the door and then start the install process. It'll be fine. Just do not open the door while it's installing. Make sure the A/C, radio, lights are all off to conserve power during the install process.

When I'd do the install or uninstall I'd leave the windows down and do the following

close door, stick key in ignition, turn on car(all through the window), start cobb install/uninstall, go have a sammich, come back, click ok when complete, turn off car.

I did it with the windows down so I could go inside and drop a duece while it was flashing, that way it was less likely I'd crap my pants when I punched it out the first time.

You'll be fine installing the COBB AccessPORT flash with the windows down. Just make sure the doors are closed and all other electronics such as the radio, lights, and the AC are turned off so that it doesn't drain your battery!

i've installed and uninstalled many times with the windows down, now the door situation I haven't tried and wouldn't suggest, so be sure to open the windows, get out of the car and flash from there. don't let the windshield wipers scare you either!
