Replacing interior trim

Hi everyone

New to the forum and new to driving BMW. I picked up a 335D M-Sport on saturday and there are few things with the interior i would like to sort out.

It has the the brushed alluminium trim and on the the driver and passenger doors there are numerous dings where it appears the seat belt has repeatedly hit the trim below the arm rests. Also there are similar marks on the trim extending back to the rear seats. As far as i can tell the trim clips on.

So is it possible to get replacement parts and can anyone reccomend a more hard wearing part or a treatment to protect the trim?

Thanks in advance, any advice on this would be great, also any advice on keeping the paintwork and leather in good condition.

Andy

Mine was the same, wrap in 3Mdi-noc carbon effect for little money.
Looks nice, do some searching as plenty of threads on here.

Trims crop up in the FS adds on here regularly, or there is a breakers/ ebay.
Lots about as brushed is the most common by the looks of it.

Those door parts are push on, wrap a big bladed screwdriver tip with tape, lever under one end work along and prise off.
held on by a few big steel 'pins' every few inches.
Get it away from the door card and fingers behind it, pull slowly but firmly.

Start prising the trim from the front edge and then get your fingers underneath it working towards the back edge.
There is a sort of hook on the trim at this edge that will need relocating when you put the trim back on.

Took both off mine off recently without any problems.
