I just bought a 2011 335is in Black Sapphire Metallic, Oyster & Black Dakota, DCT, 19" wheels, Harmon Kardon, and a host of other cool stuff. The problem is I have to wait 7-8 weeks for it to arrive.

Does anyone know if there's a way to track the status through BMW?

Anyone else have this color combination? Can you post some pics? I think the black looks amazing on the 335is with the black kidney grills and exhaust tips. Debated the interior for quite some time but ultimately settled on the oyster/black.

Congrats on your new car. I have the same color combo and the seats get pretty dirty fast.. You will notice it turning black/blue. Other than that I love everything about it except for the fact that it does not have a damn LSD.

Thanks, everyone. I can't wait for it to arrive. I used to own a 2004 330ci coupe, which was an absolute blast to drive. The 335is blows it away.

I was concerned about keeping the oyster seats clean but read on here that treating with the BMW-issued cleaner is pretty effective.

I have almost the exact same setup as you. 19", harmon Kardon, nav, convenience, satelite, DCT. Pretty much everything. Even decided on moonroof delete

Dealer said the car arrives on US shores tomorrow and will be ready for pickup by the end of the week. I'm not sure I'm going to last that long! It's been hell waiting but so close now...

@Eric thanks for posting the pictures. Color combo looks awesome. It was always going to be the oyster or the all black interior for me. The oyster just seems a bit classier but both are sweet.

I envy you soo much! I won't be getting my 335is till end of August at the earliest I'm assuming. But congrats I know the wait was worth it.

Yea I really like it. I actually looked at a black on black one first as well but this combo stood out more to me. Plus it helps here in Phoenix. It's been 112-115 for the past week and it DOES make a differene. Those photos were the day I got it but I have since put a pretty dark tint job on it. Tint makes the 335is look even better due to all of the black bits on the exterior and lack of chrome.
