Not sure, mine is Sep 10 built. Just got back from dealer for the transmission thing. They told me no software update for my car, just reprogramming.

That was how long they took my car. They said one day to do the software, one day to test run, etc.

Loading the software takes some time apparently..
my guess you're one of the earlier cars, so you get to go first .. if you dont want to, you can pass and let others do it first.
btw have you had your 1st service yet? I have 2 months till mine.. wondering whether I should let them update software too.. theres nothing wrong with my car, and if it effects transmission /other settings don't know if makes it better or worse..

i have never returned my car to BMW since delivery. i had my first oil change elsewhere at 2,000km and just did another one at 7,000km. I actually prefer not to let them "free check" my car as you said better not bother to let they fix something that ain't broke. haha.

good pt... I am of the same mentality .. but i thought just let them change the oil and air filter, and tell them dont need to touch anything else (i will prob spend more time inspecting and cleaning the inside of the car myself afterwards )
so you skipped the free service? do u have a good guy to do your oil change?
i may not let my old garage do this new car, maybe find a new one, someone can trust and is clean.. but next service in 2yrs hopefully after the free one since i put so few miles on it! (4-5k/yr)
