Time For New Tires - 13.4

Looks like it times to get some new tires... Went to the track this weekend and traction in first and second were almost impossible. The weather was 55 degree's.

R/T: .620
60': 2.227
1/8: 8.840
MPH: 85.15
1/4:13.411
MPH: 107.43

The car is a manual transmission w/ the following upgrades.

ETS 5.0" Intercooler
ETS Downpipes
ETS Exhaust System
ETS DCI Intakes
ETS Charge Pipe
TiAL BOV
Procede V5 MAP 2 5-10 maps with DTC pushed 1x
92 Pump Gas 1/4 Tank
162 Wheels
Falken 225/40ZR18 ZIEX ZE912 (Worn Greatly)

I need to find a decent tire now, any recommendations?

Why the hell are you running a 225?

I'd get Hankook RS3. Awesome bang for the buck and they last about as long as a crappy falken Ziex

The Michelin Pilot Super Sport is the best, it got great reviews.

Dunlop Direzza Z1 best bang for your buck IMO, i just got them they are amazing i rarely loose traction and on corners the car is phenominal.

Well Michael, I've run Dunlop Direzza Z1 Star Specs on my Evo and loved them, but then I found the Nitto NT05 and they were better. On my 335i I have these BFG g-force KDW2's and have had nothing but 1.7sec 60' times with them.

Oh, and your 7" FMIC allowed me to run those times in 98deg F weather!!

Look into putting Toyo RA-1 tires. They are a competition but street legal tire. You will be amazed if you have not already used DOT comp tires. Cheaper too.

Tim your telling me. Once we move i'm putting new tires on. Right now I drive 60 miles a day and I don't want to waste the tires driving on these roads. We are moving in less then a month
