They do fit- im running them as winter wheels. Only problem is I needed to roll my rear fenders due to a square profile tire i was using.

Very possible, if they are OEM. Likely that reps offsets will be ok on non-M's. 18'' OEM M3's are Ok on non-M's.

Should be ok, as they'll probably be made to fit non-M cars. Are the offsets printed inside?

what is the proper offset i should be looking for? I have a feeling they are going to be ok because the guy is selling them as they are too big for his e46 3 series saloon, the stick out too much and as you know the e90 is a bigger car with bigger wider arches so should be fine

They might however be replicas designed for an E46 so I would have a good look and also try on the car before buying to avoid getting stung. I know from when buying replicas that some guys will sell you anything and often the offsets are way off.
