Accutin of Bellevue

I got my tint at Accutin of Bellevue in 2009 with Formula one Lifetime guaranty. At the time of the sale, the rep told me that the lifetime guaranty would cover scratches, defect ..ANYTHING as long as I don't go and use a life and cut the tint. After hearing that promised I bought it for $350. Well lately I noticed the tint getting more scratches from the interior and I called up accutin of belleuve and they said they never made such claim as of lifetime because scratches is unpreventable. The guy at Bellevue of Accutin said that he's the owner of the place and bought the place in 2010 and purchase that are made before 2010 he would not honor it. If he's not willing to honor it then he shouldn't keep the Accutin name, and he pointed the finger at Accutin of Seattle... saying he's the old owner of Accutin of Belleuve. If they are not willing to fix a problem in honor of their name, i don't see why people in this forum would continued using accutin and paying higher prices for a tint that's doesn't guaranteed. I haven't contact of Accutin of Seattle yet but if they are not keeping their words you guys should be careful when getting a tint especially when they make promises. MAKE SURE YOU GET IT IN WRITING ....otherwise you will be in my shoes.

Word, I have some light scratches on my tint and Accutint of Bellevue refused to work on it even though they (the new owners) promised to re-do it. I havent contacted Accutint of Seattle either but it'll be an awkward phone call.

Old Accutint cut my defrost lines, they said it was there before. All my window film was peeling, but they said no to replacing it. I've read good feedback about Metropolitan Detail. They did my current car and I have no issues.

Guys,

When I had my ceramic tint put on at Accutint of Seattle, they gave me a warranty card from the manufacture stating that the film is guarantee for life from peeling. This card is good at all authorized dealers. Do you have the card?

There is a bubble on my back windshield and Accutint of Seattle was more than happy to retint my car. I'm taking it in on Monday.

How did it get scratched?

Not sure if scratches fell into any of this:

FormulaOne® High Performance Auto Tint™ ("the Product") is sold with a lifetime warranty by the manufacturer, Solutia Inc., against cracking, crazing, demetallizing, delaminating or color change when installed by an authorized FormulaOne dealer.

I was dropping my car off at Accutint of Seattle to have the bubble taking out of my rear window. I asked him about scratches on 3 series. He told me this only happened on sedan and wagon models. He told me the main cause of the scratch are from the two manifold in the window. The top one is covered with rubber and felt material. The bottom one is made of rubber only. He told me that a good tinter with add felt to the lower manifold to keep it from scratching the tint. Just FYI for everyone.

So this wouldn't be an extra charge right? I really need this fixed. I hate having to make sure no one is around before rolling my windows up. Lol

atown88,

I would call Accutint to discuss it before taking your car in. Good luck.

Just did my tints in Accutint Seattle. The rear window came out horribly and they give me a 2" long cut on the B-pillar without telling me. I am not angry but absolutely sad that I didn't doubt them for a second when I bring it to them...sigh. Hopefully they'll fix the rear without adding more cut marks to my interiors. They probably thought everyone leases their cars and don't mind about those cut marks, and since I bought it right off, I had to live with it for quite sometime since I plan to keep this car for a long while.

BMXtreme,

Do you have picture of the cut pillar? I'm not very happy with the redo from them. There is another cut bubble on my rear window

Hey guys, seems like many of you have issues with your tint done at Accutint. You guys know I dont work for them, but I have been deal with them for many years and many of my friends and families as well. I know the owner pretty well, let me know if any of you need help from me to talk with them. I would be more than happy to help out.

@reddemon - Pic below, abit blur. It doesn't look too bad but bad enough you can see it everytime. It's not torn, but i can see the under part of the pillar as i move my hands over. I am going to fix it with those fabric repair kit.

@Johnny - would be nice if he replaces my B-pillar, but I am sure hthey will have billions of excuses for not doing that. They asked me to swing by at 10am, and the tinter didn't even get in until 10.40am. I was told my car is going to be the first, but they start working on someone elses Lexus. I was told it'll be done around noon, but then called and said 2pm, but didn't get done until 2.30pm. I didn't mind waiting at all...but even with those shitty wait time, they manage to fucked up my car.

Hey Alex,

I still cant get a hold with the Seattle Accutint owner, but I did speak to one of the supervisor. I left him with your cell. He promise to call you back and will take a good care of you. I also called you and left you a voice message, let me know if you need more help.

Accutint SODO Policies...

Hey all-

Sorry to hear about these bad experiences! @ Dylanwsu: I'm sorry that you were shunned in Bellevue. That is a frustrating occurrence and we can only apologize for them, I guess they don't like business. There was a change in the delivery of the 3 series sedans that was unreported- the issue for us was the change in the window seals. A felt modification is required. We found out the hard way, too. We have made corrections to the install procedure since we found that out. If Bellevue won't help you out, come talk to us (Seattle).

@ Jattditutti: At no time of the tint process is a razor blade ever taken to the inside of the back window (where the DF conductors are). We do all the shaping and cutting of the film away from the car, or on the outside of it (window). We never cut anything inside the car, on the inside of the glass, or near the rear window. I'm sorry about your experience.

@ lpphreakx06, atown, bmxtreme, reddemon: Call Seattle, talk to Taylor or Sennet and explain your issue. They will work with you.

We do a high volume and strive to maintain the highest quality on every car. Unfortunately, issues come up from time to time. Even worse, a few of you had problems that should have been avoided or remedied through Bellevue and were not treated well. Feel free to contact us at the Seattle store and we are happy to remedy any issues that you may have.

Thanks!
