Bastards keyed my car!
Just venting!!
Parked the car Thursday night (we used my gf's car yesterday), go out this morning and I notice three keyed panels. Left quarter, left rear door, left fender. My gf goes out after I swear and slam doors going back in the house and she notices the one I missed (right front door). Tried to polish them out, but they're too deep. Filed the claim with ICBC, but it's just an annoying pain in the ass. Just malicious little pukes who think they're all that. |

Outside my home.
I live in a pretty quiet residential neighbourood (Kensington-Cedar Cottage) between Fraser and Knight. The one problem is that the there's a bus stop a block away on King Edward so lots of foot traffic on our street. |

Sorry to hear -- some people are scum of the earth.
It seems impossible to have nice things without somebody trying to destroy it. |

It just sucks.
Any shop suggestions? I'm hoping it can be cut polished rather than painted, but I'm thinking Korva, Autostrasse, or #1. The problem is they're all pretty busy shops and I don't relish the idea of staring at this every day for weeks. |

Sometimes a good wet sanding will fix it so that it's almost undetectable, but if it has gone through to the primer or metal it will need paint. Wet sanding is cheap, and any good detailer will do it .. take to a body shop and they'll want to repaint the entire panel regardless of the level of damage. Get some pics tomorrow, if you can... |

Monaco blue and yes, finger nails do catch on the scratch. I will take pics tomorrow and post them up and see what you guys think. Painting is not my first choice.

Took my car to Autostrasse to see how long it would take to get booked and to estimate some other minor work (a shopping cart hit). While jockeying the car around their estimating bay, one of their estimators scraped the right front corner. So, it's only fair that they get the opportunity to fix the shop damage (which wasn't serious and they were very good about it) so they're getting the ICBC work too.
