evo x vs. me

so i was comin home this morning from queens heading east on the lie and this evo x decides to challenge me we're already goin at it around 80-85 and after i pass him and slow down he decides to keep me challenging me. i see him comin up in my rear view bookin, immediately i throw it in 3rd floor it and as soon as he passes me i catch up within two seconds and we're on a pure straight away where i just pulled away easly from him after 100. we hit around 120-130 but he was a car length or two behind me the whole time. the road was perfectly clear as it was early in the morning around 5:30 and it was straightaway beginning at the cross island exit off the lie for those who know. first car ive ever actually raced and proud to say i won

You guys need to realize 335s are not performance cars. I'm sure that evo was stock. Bolt ons with a tune and they are totally different beasts...

i totally agree, plus theyre not really top end cars. then again you put a little work into a 335 and u have yourself a very performance oriented car.

This is true to some extent. My 335i is FBO with JB4 and I know for a fact if I spent the same amount on money on an evo with mods and tune it would perform much better.

Jus too old now to be flying around in a ricer. I need to look presentable lol. Felt good driving to my friends wedding yesterday in a bimmer lol.

True story.... My co-worker here ralph has an Evo and that thing would blow all our cars away. The thing is loud as anything and isnt luxurious in the least but it sure is fast..

If it was a vette or something worth racing thats fine. when im a nice fast car (not mine i drive a slow 330i) i never try to race anyone but i do mess with people with higher class who wants to be played with ( porsches, maseratis, etc). Im hate JDM ricers just because their exhaust is super duper loud they think its fast.

evos are no joke i was surprised when i beat him, but as i said theyre more low end cars. and i totally agree with everyone, performance wise they are much better and its strictly what they were produced for as opposed to a 335.
