i had the pss9s on my TT, and man were they the biggest POS ever. Well confirmed that they did zero r&d on that application, so I lost all trust in them. the rear springs made rattling and sqeeking noises, had limited adjustability, and their tech recommended turning up the stereo to fix the noises.

never had problems with my 3 HR coilover applications (S4, TT, C32).

Wow, that's strange--I had the exact opposite experience on my M3. I absolutely loved my PSS9s, and now I won't use anything else. They were a huge improvement over the Koni/Eibach combo I previously had on the car.

I liked the PSS9s while i had them. i tracked the hell out of them and the only problem i had was that one of the rear shock's damper adjuster broke. since i bought through turner motorsport i went through them to replace it, and they charged me nothing. however, tms did say that bilstein gave them a crazy runaround and was trying to charge them $800 for one shock!

thats why i was so disappointed, the name Bilstein is well known in racing applications around the world, but when it came to doing real R&D, instead of slapping together parts they already had, or copy a flawed competitors product, they failed. It took H&R 2 or 3 iterations to get the TT's setup just right, but they at least acknowledged the issues and make revisions.

im sure the pss9s are just great on some cars, but my personal experience was horrible, and only after I threatened legal action, I had them refunded.

Ah...how so...I dont buy it. I have had H&R coilovers on five of my Audis..and have PSS9s on my current Audi. I have installed and ridden in several KW1, KW2 equipped cars...I am not that impressed with what I have felt so far.

I think the pss9s, H&R, and KWs are all very similar in fit and finish, performance, and overall quality. Aftermarket suspension is a competitive market, so i think the kits all come out very close to each other. Where the decisions should be made are in the customer service, and what type of kit you want. do you want a progressive spring rate? adjustable damping? adjustable rebound? how heavy do you want your springs? These are the things that should affect your decision, i think.

I have PSS9's on my 335 and i think they are great! Very easy to adjust height and damper settings. After i saw that KW uses plastic rings to adjust the height on their coils i didnt even consider them. H & R always made good products too but they dont have as many adjustments on the E92 coilovers.

I had PSS9s on my Audi...set at 6 in front and 4 in rear. Setting them at 9 is the least dampening. I would try that setting and go from there.

i would be on 6 all around for city driving and 9 all around for track. I didnt have as big a problem as some with the factory understeer because i had a big rear sway bar. I tried lots of different combos but really they just feel either soft, medium, or hard. Haha.

For the audi setup..the 9 setting is the most pliant..not the stiff setting. It it opposite for the E90? 1 is the stiffest for the Audi application.

9 was stiffest on the E46 application. thats weird bc i wouldn't think they would reverse it ...
