They've always asked me. Maybe they knew you before so you didn't have to =D

Every time I've gotten a loaner at a BMW dealership (Bellevue, Kuni, Monterey), I've had to provide all three. I also get an explanation from the SA as to why they need the info, which I don't see as a big deal.

I had to, although it was for a rental. Not sure if they used that same information because when I got an actual loaner, I showed nothing.

Both Bellevue and Seattle dealerships asked for driver license and proof of insurance. I was never asked for credit card.

It's not a big deal. I understand why they do it except the credit card part. Maybe if I damage the car or something? But isn't that what insurance is for?

When I used to drop my car off at Mercedes of Seattle, this was the case (I know, 2 different dealerships, but still). The last 2 times I got a loaner from BMW of Bellevue, I didn't have to give them my stuff thinking they would have it on file? Of course unless if some of my info is expired or something. Interesting... This is also my first time that I had to give a credit card, beside rental's of course.
