Headlight Help Requested for a Complete Newbie

Hello everyone. I've been lurking on this forum for a while trying to find an answer to a question or two about my 2007 328xi. So I figured I'd might as well post a thread and ask because I can't seem to get all the info I need, or at least sythesize all of it into a coherent answer. It's probably because I am not searching correctly and don't know my car as well as I should, but hopefully some folks on here can help me out. Thanks in advance.

Anyhow, I'm looking to do some mods to my car - obviously. The first thing I'd like to do is get new headlights. I'm not quite sure what I'm even looking for, however. I have the stock headlights - I believe they are halogen. And they don't have the "halos" or the rings around the actual lens of the light. In fact, of all the pics I've seen on this site I have never seen one with the type of headlights on my car. So, I guess my first questions is - where should I look? Should I be looking for just a set of angel eye bulbs? or Should I be looking to get a whole new headlight? I also want to get rid of the amber reflector at the corners of the lights. I guess that means I have to get all new headlights. My second and third questions are - are they difficult to install and do I need special tools or codes to clear any errors? I've seen a number of great DIY threads on here, but I'm still unsure of whether they apply to my specific vehicle.

My last question, sort of unrelated to headlights, is about wheels. I would like to get a nice wheel/tire package for the summer. I've spent a lot of time looking around and a lot of these threads seem to suggest that it would be stupid to buy nice wheels if you don't have the suspension for them. Clearly, I do not have the suspension as mine is stock. And I was looking at 18"s or 19"s - anyone have any suggestions? How about for the tires?

Again, thanks in advance to everyone who replies to this. I bought a BMW because I wanted a nice car. Now it's become an addiction! haha.

Check out the Wheels section for your wheels. Wheels can be Cosmetic as well as a handling improvement so don't worry about what suspension you have. http://www.e90post.com/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=134
