e92 sidemarker bulbs
couldn't find anything on e92 sidemarker bulbs. these are the lights on the side of the car next to the wheels, not in the headlights.
I want to change out the amber bulbs for clear/silver ones that blink amber. anyone know what type of bulbs they are and where to get what I'm looking for? |

i looked at realoem.com, but it didn't give me the bulb type. i forgot about autolumination.com, I bought my clear markers from them before a few years ago.
However, i still couldn't tell exactly which bulb to get (yes, i'm an idiot ). Most of the sidemarkers they have are LEDs and I doubt you can just plug-and-play them with regular bulbs (I thought you may need some type of resistor). I'm looking for a clear/silver bulb that flashes amber to get rid of the egg yolk effect. |

Well, I found the bulbs on eBay, but now I have a question on installation. I figured it would be easy, just slide the sidemarker forward and it pops out. Seems like either I'm not strong enough or there's another way to get to the bulb. Anyone?

For the rest of us, can you let me know what kind of bulb it ended up being? I'm taking delivery of my 335i coupe soon and I wanted to clear those sidemarker bulbs out as well. Thanks!

if you want plug and play, look for the non-LEDs.

Have you done this? I've done this mod on my other BMWs and never had a problem. But these suckers just don't seem to slide like the others. Another member said the same thing, so I'm thinking its something different. I've tried quite a few times on both sides, but can't seem to budge them more than 1/8 inch.

Interesting on Realoem.com they list the bulb as being silver. Since I don't have my car yet, I can't confirm.

Bulb is silver with amber tip nd it blinks amber. I still try every day to see if I can slide the marker off, but still no luck. I wish someone who REALLY knows how to get it off would share with the rest of us
