I've adjusted, what i think are some of the problem area's of the E90 M3 Concept car... I was going for a Cleaner yet aggressive look.

i like yours better. nicely done. you saw the same problems with it that i did

1) in the front, i felt like i wanted the bottom to be even with the ground.
2) i didn't like the indentations in the back.

Hmmm, I dont really like the front cuz it doesnt really fit in with the design of the M5/M6. I think the rear looks good though ! The rear looks overly-complicated and I think it needs to be more like yours, BMW should go for the "solid" look of the E46 design. Check the edit I made below, I made the centre vent wider...

Good photoshop! You are seeing what I want to see.
I think your front will look better with the round driving lights in the vent holes as the E46.
Your rear will look better if the mesh grill widens a liitle.
Lastly, if the struts holding the mirrors can be a little closer, then the look will be very pleasing.
Just suggestions.........

If you want to tone down the car, get a 335i.

Thanks for making the effort...I do still prefer the BMW design though.

At first glance i thought the hood bulge might be a bit too big, but if you look at the pics from the side like the ones in the "modsearch" pics someone posted, it doesn't look too big anymore.

All you have to do is look at the pics of the RS4 http://www.rsportscars.com/eng/cars/audi_rs4.asp

and then the ///M3, and there's not much of an argument...

The RS4 looks stunnin' when you see it on the road. Anyway it's not fair to compare a sedan to a coupe. When the RS5 comes out, it'l be a direct competitor to the ///M3. Imagine an A5 with RS styling and a 420bhp V8...sounds good to me !

I don't know... I can't speak as far as everyone else is concerned... but I strongly prefer your photoshop to the actual car. The rear anyway... I hate, HATE, HATE the little unnecessary indentations in the rear bumper and as an e92 335 owner, I find the rear lighting arrays to be the weakest part of an otherwise beautiful car. I'd very much like to see something like your tail lights make it into production. I suppose I could get a custom decklid, but I'm not going to that extreme.

Anyway... thanks for the effort. I very much hope they simplify it a bit, (which I think they will). I'm not saying less aggressive as people are seeming to assume. There seems to be an overwhelming misconception about design in the community where people like to compare simplicity to aggressivness. I don't think they have to be opposites. I don't see any reason they can't coincide, (as they always have). Of course, functionality first... but it's never been Bimmer's style (Especially under the M marque) to add something for cosmetic aggressiveness just "because."

So... why start now?

Hmm, I see what you mean about the rear lights, I like the front end of the new 3 coupe, but the rear is so weak. I was kinda hopin for something like the pic below. It looks so much more aggressive !

The first e92 M3 concept pic i ever saw!

ur pics are cool. I don't like the rear.. it looks boring. The front is nice, but... what do you guys think about this pic. I have always liked this concept it looks like it was based of the e90 look. Not sooo soo bad.

Very aggressive. Maybe a bit too much.
