Power MS-8 with factory power wire?
If I'm using the MS-8 only as a processor (using aftermarket amps) can I run it on the oem power wire for the HIFI amp( HIFI amp has been removed)?
Can't be bothered to run another power wire from the battery, I've already run 2x 4 guage cables. Either I use the oem power wire, Or it will have to share a 4 gauge wire with a 2 channel amp (15amp fuse) and a sub amp (25amp) through a splitter. Thoughts? Unless the unit shuts off, you should be fine. I ran a 10 gauge wire to the battery, but then again I'm using the internal amps.

Just use a fuse and a relay. You could possibly regret using the stock power line but you will never regret using a relay.
Edit: Use the line from the 2 channel amp; 15 amps on a 4 gauge over a max of 6 feet (I'm guessing) is absolutely nothing. |

For future reference, the MS-8 draws 1amp when you're not using the internal amps
