E90 New Adaptive Headlight Function
From the E90 Catalogue, it seemed that the 2011 E90 has new adaptive headlight function :
Anyone with the adaptive headlights care to share how they work? -- It works great! Or is it all just a gimmick? |

Adaptive headlights aren't new...
Diagram 1: you turn the wheel to the right, the lens in the projector turns too so your headlight follows the curve Diagram 2: you turn on your signal or crank your wheel at low speeds, the cornering light turns on so you can see where you're turning Diagram 3: low beams Diagram 4: high beams |

Sorry wasn't clear about the new function. Diagram 3 shows when it is being driven at low speed, while diagram 4 is when it is at higher speed.
Diagram 4 is not the high beam. So essentially the beam throw is being adjusted based on speed. |
