E91 Boot Liner

I'm looking for a boot liner for my new E91. There are loads to choose from on eBay but do you guys have any recommendations?

Cheers

I bought a hatchbag for mine - if you want total boot protection, it can't be beaten IMO.

Check here:

I went for the rearseat plus with split and the bumper flap as extras. Very well made and fits perfectly.

Blimey that looks good, just think it's a bit OTT for me.

It is quite full on - but essential if you have a dog or surf/play on the beach a lot!

I don't :-) but I do do the occasional spot of detailing and need to carry all my kit with me. :-)

I also need some floor mats. Genuine BMW ones preferably. Ebay has a couple of sets for around £75. Good price?

Why genuine BMW floor mats? I bought some tailored ones of ebay for £14 and one year on they are still good. I only hoovered them for the first time last week and all came up looking like new apart from the drivers one which obviously takes a hammering. Even if I had to buy another set it would still cost me half the price of the BMW ones. I mean after all, your only going to stick your dirty shoes on them.

I got a cheap boot liner of Ebay for £15 which works after I modified it with some press studs! But that hatchbag looks about a million times better. Although when I went on their site and ticked all the boxes it came to £115.

I also got floor mats off ebay, I thought i'd pay extra for some slightly posher ones but they are shit! Should have just got some cheapies or paid for OEM. Thinking I should really have got some rubber ones for dog walking etc...

I guess you're right. I bought a set from eBay for my Bravo and in fact they were bette rquality that the Fiat ones. Afte a year the drivers one was knackered and two years later on the eBay ones the drivers mat is still going strong.

Another shout here - I looked at the BMW ones but preferred these - again a lifestyle that includes a lot of time at the beach and in mud means we need heavy duty mats!

http://www.cannoncarmats.co.uk/VSVeh...1Set-76-d.html

IMO car mats made of carpet are almost useless. I pressure wash mine every now and again and they look new - had them 1.5 years and not a single sign of wear. Only got the front ones.

They do a boot liner too but not tried that one.

With the hatchbags, one customer spilt an entire pot of paint in her boot and the car was been left unmarked.

Can't stand rubber mats but thanks for the heads up

How about these?

Should be fine. Mine had a centre fixing thingy on the drivers side as well but I just stabbed a wee hole either side and unscrewed the velcro fixers in the floor and screwed them through the mat. Holds it in place perfectly.

Rubber mats are obviously a lot more durable but I was put off them when a previous car got very damp under the mats. I put it down to the rubber not "breathing". Probably rubbish but never had the problem after I changed.

The "which bootliner?" issue was discussed last year and on reccomendations,I bought a hatchbag,as I needed something for my two dogs and more importantly,to protect my car!
Fantastic investment, bespoke and built to last.Relatively easy to fit. There are other, more inferior liners out there, but you really do get what you're paying for with the hatchbag.
My other half bought a boot-buddy at the same time and it is inferior in every aspect.

Yep the carpet won't dry out if it does get wet but with the rubber mats, it shouldn't get wet in the first place!

We have a full size boot liner/rubber mat in the back of the 110 - the carpet underneath WILL NOT dry out with the mat on it. Pretty obvious really but took me a while to work it out and it hummed for a while.

Full set of LR rubber mats (inc boot) for a 5 seat 110? Not far off £300. Ouch. Luckily the dealer gave us them for free.

I'm not saying it isn't good, but I think a little OTT for what I need.

I know you wasn't mate, don't get me wrong-I was just reiterating that it's a good product and sometimes it's a false economy, buying an inferior product.
Horses for courses though ;-)

I have always been able to sell my Hatchbags when I changed the car as they are so durable they remain perfect after use. Have sold them for £40 which is half new price so lessens the cost of the item. They really are excellent if you have dogs or anything dirty in the boot, if you just want to cover the boot floor just buy the BMW plastic tray item, fits perfect and not too expensive.
