Depo LED Blacklines & JLevisW

There have been many discussions regarding Depo Blacklines but my story includes the actual store "JLevisW" as well.

(Background)
The wife ad I just bought a house in S.F. We made a promise to each other that we would both cut back on spendings but I had this itch that needed to be scratch. I wanted to upgrade my taillights and all my exterior bulbs. Since one of my headlight bulbs went out the day before, this gave me an opportunity to get this done without her knowing it. The Plan was to drive her to San Jose under the pretense of furniture shopping in the many discount warehouses and I tod her that I would get my bulb replace by a dealership in the area. I placed the order with JLevisW yesterday and also made an install appointment with them for 11:30 AM. They told me that it should only take an hour or less.

The plan was in effect.

I chat online with Nick (JLevisW) this morning to confirm. To my surprise, a human error had occurred and I was not scheduled. My plan was falling apart. I told Nick how disappointed I was but Nick made arrangements to have my products installed the same day (at 2PM instead). My plan was back on track.

After I dropped the wife off in one of warehouses, I rushed over to JLevisW. I could sensed that this was a place where the employees took their jobs seriously as I walked through the front door. Jon was the first person I met and he immediately introduced himself as " the guy who will do the install". Jon introduced me to Brian and immediately took my keys to start the work. Brian processed the paperwork and carried some small talk with me. I told Brian that I had a concern on obtaining errors from the LEDs as well as getting everything done within the hour. Brian assured me that "There will be no errors and they will do their best". Brian even drove me back to the warehouse so that I could keep the wife busy.

When I got back to the shop an hour later, my car was 95% done. That's when I found out that JLevis don't do installs. They normally farmed them out to a local shop. The guys at JLevisW took initiatives and gave me what I wanted. That is service!!!! Brian was right on. I have no errors. The bulbs and the LEDs look awesome. Thank you Jon, Nick, Brian, and JLevisW.

There is only one problem. How am I going to explain to the wife when she finally noticed the improved appearance of the Bimmer????? Yikes!!!! I guessed I should have put more thoughts into this..... Thanks again JLevis.

+1. I swapped my wifes E90 rear bumper with the Mtech rear and she did not notice it. Get this, she drove with it on for a week and even washed it. I finally told her, and she was like... Oh that explains the gray block on the bottom!

No such luck!!!! Got busted this morning. After she confronted me with this, I immediately walked over to her secret hiding place and pull out a few pair of shoes (still in boxes with receipts taped on the top). The world is in balance once more.

Damn those look good! My only issue with 3rd party LED lamps is that they are not as bright as OEM LED lamps for some reason. I'd get them in a heartbeat if they were as bright as OEM LED lamps (I'm thinking of E46 OEM LED tails, those suckers are BRIGHT!)

You are right. The Depo smoke LEDs are not as bright and I imagine the clear LEDs would be closer to OEM Blacklines. Regardless, its still better than what I started with.

How have yours been holding up? I hear issues with some customers getting the flicker after a few months.

I had it installed as a precaution. it was only $15. From my understanding, certain 3-series model years are prone to errors. I believe 2006 and 2007 are troublesome for mods.
