debadged - thinking I scratched my clearcoat?

Not sure how I would have done this but after debadging there are horizontal lines going across where 335i was. It's only visible when the light hits it a certain way. I've also noticed that unlike the other letters section where the 5 was is looking a bit ghosty and lighter. Not sure if this is a higher concentration of scratches or not. I used goo gone to get them off, washed it off and then waxed that area. These lines still remain. Any suggestions?

Sounds like swirls. You can use any scratch remover to get them out.

Try some Meguiars Scratch-X by hand. It is a small enough area that you MAY be able to get away without a machine.

+1, should do the trick. Don't use too much pressure, and follow the instructions on the label.

From my past experience Scratch X only filled the scratches but reappeared after a few washes. Intead try any polish with a soft polishing towel which would work better imo. If you plan on having your entire car detailed in the near future, you could also just wait since a detailer would get rid of most of your swirls/scratches using machine
