Need Ignition-Switched Power

I have tried unsuccessfully to find ignition-switched power somewhere in the vicinity of the driver's side foot well for a Lidatek laser jammer. I wouldn't mind tapping into the center console area - if I could figure out how to safely remove it. Any tips? I have found ignition switched power in the top console for a hardwired V1 install, but I really think I want to avoid running power down the A pillar. Sorry if this has already been discussed, I'm a newbie to this board (and E90s) but not to BMWs

Thanks
Ray

What about running to the fuse box... I could give you a fuse number that works..

Could you hit the fuse box, and then run behind the center console/dash. That gets you to the driver side footwell pretty easily..

Attempted that, but it appears that all the ignition switched stuff is on the other side in the passenger foot well/behind the glove box. I could find no easy way to route a wire from there across all the HVAC and electronic stuff between the foot wells

on the left hand side under the dash, behind the left side footwell panel there will be a control module (footwell module), there will be three connectors on this control module. The top right connector will have a green/yellow wire, this is a 52 pin connector, there will be a bunch of wires, you will need to locate the green wire w/ yellow tracer, it will be next to a brown wire/grey tracer/yellow dash, and a grey wire/green tracer. This is the supply for that module for when the vehicle is turned on, therefore that is what youre looking for. Follow the wire back (please understand i'm following wireing diagrams and not in the vehicle, therefore i dont know how far you can follow this wire back) and tap into it. Being a supply line, as long as you're not interrupting the power to the control unit, you wont be damaging the control unit. unfortunately, being 1:30 i cant really think any clearer than this, this is the only thing i can think of that has an ignition supplied power source in the drivers footwell area
