Problem when accelerating over 4000RPM

Someone suggested I post here too.

So today I was merging onto the highway and accelerated a bit when the car suddenly had a loss of power and felt like one of the cylinders wasn't working. There were no error codes or messages about reduced power, the computer seemed to think all was fine.

Stopped on the side, turned off and on the engine and all was fine again until the next time I hit 4000RPM.

I'm driving an E92 335i N54 engine. Could it be the dreaded fuel pump or could it be that I only need a new fuel/air filter? (never changed those yet). Car just went off warranty so if it's the fuel pump that would really suck.

Anyone have any insight?

No codes = No issues in my book. did you punch it ? maybe traction control intervened? You would have got a missfire code if a cylinder wasnt firing.
Try to replicate. If the HPFP is going you would get a LIMP code and codes.

No worries there. The HPFP is warrantied for 100K.

Call the dealer to see if your car has the recall on it. Recalls are covered no matter how many miles your have on the car.

Thanks all, today I got the dreaded message about reduced power. Seems it's the hpfp. My problem is that I live in Singapore and I'm not sure if BMW issued the recall here too. I'm crossing fingers!
