Gauge Face Help
EDIT: WTT http://www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=503829
Any ideas on how to eliminate the '335is' lettering from my gauge face below? The piece is made of white plastic and has the graphite-colored paint painted over the white, leaving whatever you see in white unpainted. (i.e. I can't erase it) I'll probably take it to a hobby shop tomorrow and give a $20 for an experienced model painter to blend it out as best they can, but I'm afraid it'll constantly draw my attention if it doesn't come out perfect. Also sent a quick e-mail to VDO (manufacturer) to kindly mail me one, if at all possible. Any other suggestions? Last edited by yakev724; 05-26-2011 at 11:35 PM.. |

Because I drive a 330 and imho it's stupid to have a '335is' in your cluster. A tad bit like putting an m3 badge on the boot.
Reason for swapping for this cluster in the first place was for the additional programmability (new features), cheap price (at the time) vs. 335/M3 cluster, and biggest reason is oil temp display (vs. instant mpg on my stock one) EDIT: Don't you have instant mpg on your tach? Otherwise, if I don't find a solution by next week, I'll just post up a WTT, I'm sure I'll get someone interested. Last edited by yakev724; 03-19-2011 at 05:45 PM.. |
